Shops

The village shops are where you fill gaps in your gear and materials with gold. Merchant Jeff, rescued on floor 3, runs Jeff’s Goods, and once you have gone deep enough into the labyrinth, Roger’s Emporium opens in the same window. Keep trading and your Trust rises, unlocking discounts, haggling, and a back room where you can order exactly what you want. This page covers what both merchants sell and every shop rule.

  • Rescue Jeff on floor 3 and clear that floor, then tap Jeff in the village to open Jeff’s Goods.
  • Switch to the Roger’s Emporium tab in the same window. It stays locked until you have descended deep enough.
  • Everything is bought with gold. Some back-room deals also cost stamps.
  • Tap a shelf slot to open the deal window, where you can Buy or Haggle. Gear you buy lands in your bag marked NEW.
  • Merchants don’t buy gear from you. The only way to hand gear over is Jeff’s Ledger, described below.
Merchant What they stock
Jeff’s Goods Gear, rune fragment bundles, essence bundles, minion fragments, the Junk Sack
Roger’s Emporium Gear, complete runes, the Auction, essence bundles, Veiled Gear
  • The grade of gear on the shelves rises with your deepest progress and the average grade of your equipped gear. It does not drop when you reincarnate.
  • Roger deals in higher grades and gear with more sockets, and also sells gambles.
  • Shelves restock on their own over time. Jeff restocks more often than Roger.
  • Each merchant gives you one free Reroll per day. The day changes on UTC.
  • After the free reroll, rerolls cost gold and get pricier the more you reroll within the same restock window. A natural restock brings the price back down.
  • A reroll replaces the whole shelf and wipes haggle results. The Ledger’s wanted list does not change on a reroll.
  • One piece of gear is listed above its normal price, and the price falls every minute until the next restock.
  • The longer you wait the cheaper it gets, but meanwhile another buyer may take it first. Raising Trust and finishing Roger’s errand make that less likely.
  • Auction items cannot be haggled. Buying one earns Roger’s stamps.
  • Gear under a cloth. You can see its slot and socket count, but its grade and options are decided the moment you buy.
  • The grade is set to match the current shelf level, so it never comes out too low.
  • Each time a high grade fails to appear, Pity builds, and when it is full a high grade is guaranteed. A high-grade result resets the Pity.
  • It cannot be haggled, and buying it earns Roger’s stamps.
  • A sealed sack of materials holding essence or minion fragments.
  • Now and then Jeff misplaces a piece of gear in it, and a Jeff’s mistake! item comes out too.
  • It only appears while the focus is Balanced. It cannot be haggled.

Trust builds separately with each merchant and shows in the shop window as TRUST Lv.

  • Tribute: tap the Trust button and offer gold.
  • Ledger deliveries: handing Jeff wanted items raises Trust without spending gold.
  • Haggling: every haggle raises it a little, win or lose.
  • Tribute in Stamps: in the back room, stamps stand in for one tribute.
Benefit What it does
Purchase discount Every Trust level makes all purchases cheaper.
Haggling Better odds of winning, and Roger is less likely to pull an item.
Focus At a certain Trust level you can choose how the shelves are stocked.
Roger’s slot focus At a higher Trust level you can stock only weapons, armor or accessories.
Mythic runes With high Trust, Roger’s rune slot can show Mythic runes.
Errands As Trust rises, merchants hand you errands.
  • Haggle in the deal window works once per item. A win locks in a discount; a loss locks in a markup on that item.
  • Roger may pull the item entirely when a haggle fails. A pulled item can’t be bought until the next restock.
  • You can haggle over gear, runes, essence and minion fragments. The Auction, Veiled Gear and the Junk Sack cannot be haggled.
  • The deal window shows your odds and the size of the discount or markup, and higher Trust helps. Winning a haggle with Roger earns Roger’s stamps.
  1. Open the Ledger in Jeff’s Goods.

  2. You see 3 WANTED entries. Each lists a slot, a minimum grade and sometimes a socket requirement.

  3. If you have matching gear in your bag, tap the entry. The cheapest candidate is offered first, and Another shows other candidates.

  4. Tap Deliver to hand the item over and receive gold, stamps and Trust. Delivering a higher grade than required earns extra stamps.

  • The wanted list changes on a natural restock.
  • Only gear in your bag can be delivered. Runes in a delivered item are lost with it, so remove them first.
  • Stamps are a currency kept separately for each merchant, and they never expire.
  • Jeff’s stamps: earned from Ledger deliveries.
  • Roger’s stamps: earned by buying from the Auction or Veiled Gear, or by winning a haggle with Roger.
  • Stamps are spent in the back room.

Use the Back Room tab in the Ledger window.

  • Custom Order: pick a slot and you see a draft of the piece Jeff will dig up, usually with a good grade and sockets. Order it with stamps and gold, and you can Claim it after the next restock. Only one order at a time.
  • Chosen Rune Shards: name a rune and buy a bundle of its fragments for stamps and gold.
  • Tribute in Stamps: pay one tribute with stamps instead of gold.

Roger’s Back Room only opens once you finish Roger’s first errand and receive the back room key.

  • Chosen Greater Rune: name a rune and buy a Greater rune of it for stamps and gold.
  • Rumor: pay gold and stamps, and one extra hidden chest waits in your next labyrinth run, with a guaranteed rich reward. You can’t buy another Rumor until you have used it in the labyrinth.
  • Tribute in Stamps: pay one tribute with stamps instead of gold.
  • As Trust rises, each merchant gives you one Errand at a time. Progress shows in the Ledger and back room windows.
  • Errands are filled by normal play, such as killing enemies, scrapping gear and trading with merchants.
  • Finishing an errand grants a permanent perk. Jeff’s perks give more stamps and gold per delivery and cheaper custom orders; Roger’s give the back room key with fewer Auction poachers, and a cheaper Chosen Greater Rune.

The Focus button changes how the next shelf is stocked. A new focus takes effect from the next restock or reroll.

Merchant Focus options
Jeff Balanced, Gear, Runes, Materials. Gear adds gear slots and Materials adds essence and minion fragment slots. The Junk Sack only appears on Balanced.
Roger Balanced, Quality (higher-grade gear and runes), Sockets (gear with more sockets), and with more Trust, Weapons, Armor or Accessories
  • The thank-you gift for rescuing Jeff includes one free first purchase.
  • It works on gear of grade A or lower, rune fragments, essence and minion fragments. Eligible items show FREE instead of a price.
  • It can’t be used on the Auction, Veiled Gear, the Junk Sack, or an item you have already haggled over.
  • Spend the free purchase on the most valuable eligible item. Waiting for A-grade gear to appear is a good move.
  • Change focus, then use your free reroll. The new stock shows up right away.
  • The Auction gets cheaper the longer you wait, but you may lose it. If you really need the item, buy at a fair price.
  • Send unused gear to the Ledger. Instead of breaking it, you get gold, stamps and Trust together.
  • Buy a Rumor before your next run. The hidden chest appears in the first labyrinth run after you buy it.
  1. Forgetting the free purchase. Your first purchase from Jeff is free.
  2. Delivering gear with runes still in it. The runes are lost too.
  3. Trying to haggle more than once. Each item allows only one haggle.
  4. Wondering why the shelf didn’t change after switching focus. Focus applies from the next restock or reroll.
