Dailies, Weeklies & the Codex

These are the small things that pay off big if you check them regularly. Daily Rites and the Sevenday Pact give gold, essence and gems, and the Book of the Dead grants a permanent Collection Bonus for everything you collect. Most of these vanish or don’t apply unless you claim them, so it’s worth knowing where to collect what.

Tap the Menu button on the village screen to open a window with the items below. When there’s something to claim in Daily Rites, the Book of the Dead or Achievements, the Menu button shows a red dot.

Item What it does
Daily Rites Daily tasks, login streak and the weekly pact (Sevenday Pact)
Codex The collection book, the Book of the Dead
Achievement Your achievements and their gem rewards
Account Recovery Load your saved progress
Language Change the game language
  • Daily tasks: you get 5 tasks every day. Rite of Slaughter and Rite of Conquest are always there; the others rotate daily from a larger pool. Tasks you can’t do yet (for example, the Siege task before Siege opens) aren’t offered.
  • Task rewards: each task pays gold and essence. The gold grows with the deepest record you’ve reached.
  • Daily Offering: complete all of the day’s tasks to earn gems.
  • Reset: tasks renew every day at 00:00 UTC. Unclaimed rewards disappear at the reset.
  • Proxy: pay gems to Proxy a task you haven’t finished — it completes instantly and pays its reward.
  • Check your Login Streak on the Attendance tab. You don’t need to finish any tasks — just open the game that day (dates follow UTC).
  • Each time your streak reaches a milestone, claim gems with Streak Reward. You have to tap to claim, and once the cycle ends it starts over.
  • Miss a single day and your streak starts over, and any unclaimed streak reward is lost.
  • If you missed exactly one day, the day you return shows The vigil wavers with a Mend button. Pay gems and your streak continues. Mend is only offered on the day you come back, and only a few times per month.
  • Where: the Weekly tab of the Daily Rites window. It appears once you’ve finished the guidance after your first reincarnation (empowering a Relic and investing in the Dark Covenant).
  • Reset: it starts over every Monday at 00:00 UTC. The time left is shown on the tab, and unclaimed rewards disappear at the reset.
Pact Goal Reward
Pact of Slaughter Slay lots of enemies this week. Gold, essence
Pact of Conquest Clear stages many times this week. Gold, essence
Pact of the Hunt Slay bosses in twisted stages. Gold, essence
Weekly Offering Complete all three pacts. Gems and a guaranteed S-grade item

Each week, two affixes are chosen and shown on the The Nether Twists line. These mutations apply when you enter floors beyond a certain depth and make enemies stronger. Pact of the Hunt only counts bosses on these twisted floors. For the affixes themselves, see Zones & Affixes.

Tap Codex in the Menu to open the collection book, the Book of the Dead. Whenever you get something for the first time, it’s recorded automatically with the message “The Book of the Dead remembers your first find.”

Chapter What it records Collection Bonus
Relics Each gear base at each grade (C to SSS) Item find and quality
Words of Power Each runeword’s first completion and top tier Hero damage
Nemeses First kills of the warden bosses, starting with the Bone Marshal Damage to bosses
Legion Unlocking and awakening your minions Minion health (plus damage on completion)
  • The gear chapter is called Relics, but it’s not the Relics you grow through reincarnation. This chapter collects gear.
  • Gear from field drops, shops, the smithy and Siege rewards is all recorded, and gear that was auto-broken because your bag was full still counts.
  • You earn gems for each first discovery, and at each stage of a chapter’s progress you earn gems plus a Collection Bonus.
  • Collection Bonuses only apply once claimed. Claim All collects everything in every chapter at once, and the bonuses take effect from your next battle.
  • You can also look up runeword recipes and boss details in the Runeword Codex and the Boss Codex.

Claim the gems for completed achievements under Achievement in the Menu. You have to tap Claim on each one — there’s no claim-all button. The top of the window shows how many rewards are ready.

You earn gems from the Daily Offering, Streak Rewards, the Weekly Offering, the Book of the Dead, achievements and Siege first clears. Here’s where you can spend them.

Where What it does
Proxy (Daily Rites) Instantly completes an unfinished daily task and pays its reward.
Mend (login streak) Keeps your streak going after missing one day.
All rewards ×2 (Doran’s Mine) Doubles your Tomb Bell rewards.
Refill the vessel (Harvest Vessel) Instantly refills a drained Harvest Vessel. There’s a daily limit.

The Tomb Bell is covered in Doran’s Mine & Golems, and the Harvest Vessel in Reincarnation.

  • Language: change it from the Language list in the Menu. The game supports 15 languages, and on first launch it uses your device language if it’s supported.
  • Notifications: the game asks for notification permission once, when you return to the village after your first clear. If you allow it, you’ll be notified when the Tomb Bell is full and when new Daily Rites open. There’s no notification setting inside the game, so use your device settings to turn them off.
  • Cloud save: your progress is saved to the cloud automatically. The Google Play version uses Play Games saved games; other store versions use the game’s account server.
  • When there are two records: if both your device and the cloud have progress and they differ, the Choose Save Data window appears. Compare each record’s stage, rebirths and so on, then choose Use This Device or Use Cloud. The record you don’t choose is overwritten.
  • Account Recovery: on the Google Play version, it loads your cloud record only if it’s further along than the one on your device. On other store versions, it opens a recovery screen where you sign in with your ID and password.
  • Check the Menu once a day. A red dot means there’s something to claim.
  • Your login streak continues just by opening the game. Pop in briefly even on busy days.
  • The Weekly Offering’s S-grade item is a big boost early on. Pact of the Hunt only counts twisted floors, so once you reach that depth, start on it early in the week.
  • Tap Claim All in the Book of the Dead now and then. Unclaimed Collection Bonuses do nothing.
  1. Letting rewards slip by unclaimed. Daily and weekly rewards vanish at the reset.
  2. Assuming the Collection Bonus is already active. The Book of the Dead’s bonuses only apply once claimed.
  3. Missing the Mend offer after a broken streak. It’s only offered on the day you return.
  4. Picking carelessly in Choose Save Data. The record you don’t pick is overwritten.
