FAQ

These are the spots where necromancers get stuck most often, answered briefly. Follow the link in each answer for the full explanation.

Combat

My Command doesn’t refill.

That’s intended. Command doesn’t refill over time or from kills. When a minion falls, its summon cost comes back; otherwise it’s only restored by the Altar of the Legion and gear or runewords with a Command-restore option. Your maximum grows with gear and Legion Resonance. Think of Command as “how big a legion you can field at once”. Commanding the Legion

The elite slot won’t respond.

Elite minions need an elite or boss corpse to be summoned. Without one, they’re summoned through a fallback rite that offers several ordinary corpses, so make sure there are enough corpses around you. Commanding the Legion

The Eclipse gauge is full — did I fail?

No. A full Eclipse makes enemies frenzied, but it isn’t a failure. You fail when the time limit runs out, so don’t put off breaking the seals. Floors, Combo & Grades

Auto-Hunt is on, but it won’t move to the next floor.

Auto-Hunt only handles combat. To have level-up cards and Dark Pacts picked for you and move on to the next floor, also turn on Auto-Advance in the Battle Menu. If you keep falling on the same floor, Auto-Hunt switches itself off. Auto-Hunt

Labyrinth progress

Do I lose items when I die?

No. Gear that drops during a run is recorded the moment it drops and arrives in your inventory when you return to the village. Gold and essence arrive immediately. You just don’t get the clear rewards if you fail. Gear & Loot

Why can’t I enter floor 3?

Before floor 3 you need to enhance one minion and equip the gear you brought back. Enhance a minion at the Altar of the Damned in the village and equip your loot from the inventory. Beginner’s Guide

I opened the cage, but my ally isn’t in the village.

Even after the cage opens, a rescue only counts once you clear that floor to the end. If you fall before finishing it, the rescue is void — try again. Beginner’s Guide

I can’t get an A or higher clear grade.

Grades are built around your combo, and without a combo, B is the best grade you can get. Keep killing without pause to hold the combo, don’t let corpses rot, and take less damage. Floors, Combo & Grades

I’m running short on Essence of Conquest.

Essence of Conquest only comes from beating your best clear grade on a floor. Re-clear floors you beat at a low grade, this time at a higher grade. Necropolis of Dominion

Growth

Where do I get a specific minion’s fragments?

Labyrinth enemies are the same species as your minions, and killing a species drops that species’ fragments. Each species drops only at certain depths, so check Monster Intel on the stage selection screen. You can raise a species’ share with Set Farming Focus or convert spare fragments with Soul Refinement. Siege also pays fragments for the minions that performed best. Growing Your Minions

I picked the wrong awakening path.

Use Reset Awakening to undo it, then awaken down the other path. Level and ★ are kept, but resetting costs gold and fragments, and the materials you spent on the original awakening aren’t refunded. Growing Your Minions

When should I reincarnate?

Don’t rush. Reincarnation is an option that opens after you’ve fallen once. Legacy Power only grows from a life that went well beyond your waypoint, so build up your strength until you feel truly stuck, then reincarnate. Reincarnation

What do I lose when I reincarnate?

Your level and level-up cards (except those sealed with the Seal of Memory) and your labyrinth progress reset. Gold, gear, minion levels, Relics, the Dark Covenant, the Book of the Dead and your best grade on each floor are kept. Reincarnation

I bought a Dark Covenant node, but it does nothing.

A node only works after you Attune it. There’s a limit to how much you can attune, and clearing the Trial of Encroachment raises it. Relics & the Dark Covenant

Rewards from floors I’ve already beaten dropped.

After your first reincarnation the Harvest Vessel turns on. Each floor clear uses one charge, and charges refill over time. When the vessel is empty, repeat clears of floors you’ve already beaten pay less, but first clears always pay in full. Reincarnation

Gear

How do I get sockets, and how do I make runewords?

Sockets come from drops, Transmute and Hargas the Smith’s Carve. A runeword forms when you place the right three runes in gear with exactly 3 sockets; the order usually matters. Check recipes in the Runeword Grimoire. Runes & Runewords

Reforge made my option worse. Can I undo it?

No. Reforge results always apply, even when they’re worse. In exchange, each failure builds Heat that helps your next roll. Leave your good option lines alone. The Smithy

What happens to new gear when my bag is full?

A new item replaces your weakest one only if it’s clearly better; everything else is automatically broken down into gold and essence. Break gear you don’t use or hand it in at Jeff’s Ledger to make room. Gear & Loot

Modes and rewards

When does Siege open?

Complete your first reincarnation, finish the guided steps after it (empowering a Relic and investing in the Dark Covenant), then play one more labyrinth run. Once it opens, a Siege gate is revealed and marked in the village. Siege

The Tomb Bell isn’t filling.

The Tomb Bell only gathers while the game is closed or in the background. Time with the game open doesn’t count, and nothing more piles up once it hits its limit. Ore only comes in when a golem (core) is in the mine. Doran’s Mine & Golems

I have no golem. Where’s the Forge of the Colossus?

After rescuing Doran the Miner on floor 12, open the Forge of the Colossus from the Doran’s Mine window in the village. Forge your first core (free) there and your golem appears, and the mine starts yielding ore. Doran’s Mine & Golems

My Book of the Dead bonus isn’t applying.

Collection Bonuses only apply once claimed. Tap Claim All in the Codex (Book of the Dead) and the bonuses take effect from your next battle. Dailies, Weeklies & the Codex

A day passed before I claimed my Daily Rites.

Daily Rites reset every day at 00:00 UTC, and unclaimed rewards disappear. If your login streak broke after missing exactly one day, you can Mend it with gems on the day you return. Dailies, Weeklies & the Codex

Settings and account

How do I change the language?

Open the Menu on the village screen and pick a language from the Language list. On first launch, the game uses your device language if it’s supported. Dailies, Weeklies & the Codex

I switched devices. How do I get my progress back?

Your progress is saved to the cloud automatically. Tap Account Recovery in the Menu: the Google Play version loads your cloud record if it’s further along, and other store versions open a screen where you sign in with your ID and password. If your device and cloud records differ, the Choose Save Data window appears — the record you don’t pick is overwritten, so choose carefully. Dailies, Weeklies & the Codex
